bon amici is not a band... it's a home for bands. whether you're a hacker who wants to play the new song that's been festering in your head for the last three years, or a guitarist that'd make angus young blush there is always room.
bon amici has toowoomba's longest running open mic night every second tuesday night and thanks to myspace and david tilburey we'll be showcasing four original live songs each fornight at www.myspace.com/bonamicicafe. all songs are used with the permission of the writer/performer.
at this point we can also promise live original music every friday night at bon amici, with a host of bands already gracing 'the pit' and also our brand new, very tight, but very sexy stage. the marshal plan, greg charles, darren hanlon, dear nora, the glass house, the city riots and many more have and will bring the music to toowoomba at bon amici, and you can bet you're last cup of coffee there'll be a lot more soon.
if you're in a band and want a gig - just walk on in. if it's original we'll find some way to accommodate it.
We will be joining the mighty Eloquence and Truths this time around at the Irish with our good friend DJ Ramrod spinning records all night. Eloquence and Truths have had a meteoric rise through the ranks having played and toured with the likes of Funkoars, Drapht, Muph n Plutonic and more, they are set to rock the spot in a major way. Check out their myspace - www.myspace.com/eloquenceandtruths
Also joining the bill for the night will be Brisbane emcee Tenduckets and Joey Cincere. Tenduckets aka Tendancee has built a name for himself rapping with powerhouse Brisbane hip hop crew Pure Product. His solo set is sure to get heads nodding and bodies bouncing. Do not miss it. Check out his myspace here - http://www.myspace.com/tendancee
The Lowdown are set to bring the house down at The Joynt once again Friday September 4. This a free entry event and judging from the last couple of shows TLD have done there you best arrive early and in the mood to groove. Music will kick off at 9 with Nicole Mcintyre doing a mellow set of acoustic tunes to ease you into the night. The Lowdown will take the stage around 10 and will be playing an extended set encompassing some new material, freestyles and improvised jams.
Don't miss this as it will be a night to bne remembered.
Thank you to both you and Shannon for the gig on the 25th w/Yves Klein Blue and Philadelpia Grand Jury, and for your accompanying hospitality and good times. Let's do more of it, sooner rather than later! I'm inspired.
