Bonasawa is a fast growing Network aimed at promoting and supporting Sawa artists’ descendents and their friends worldwide. It is an initiative born of passion for the Arts and Grand Sawa culture, an internationally acclaimed fine art Artist himself, and University Lecturer, A. N. Mpeke has resided in the British capital (London) for more than a decade. He is ambitious. And his ambition has led him to believe that there is a place for success for Sawa artists in London. With the pedigree of world class artists such as Dibango Manu, Richard Bona, Eko Roosevelt, Edimo Vicky, Dikoto Mandengue Jean, Mbappe Etienne, Dikongue Henri, Ekeke Philippe, Kaissa Doumbe, Mbassi Coco embracing international musical genres fused with their African roots. Despite their enormous artistic talent it is not always easy to achieve success, it requires networks to enable success to happen. Bona Sawa this Network would like to contribute to the building and sustainable success of Sawa artists and their friends pasing through the UK especially London where there is an audience receptive and welcoming to such cultural contributions. We aim to organise various events to promote the Grand Sawa culture in the UK and worldwide – a tough task someone would say. Indeed you have to be an artist to feel the happiness to work with talented and inspiring artists and human beings that are Sawa people from the Sawa Land in the Republic of Cameroon wide spray in the world.
