President Obama promised, as part of his campaign for the presidency, to require Congress to enact a Bill of Universal Health Care Insurance for America.

You believed on his ability to deliver and elected him as our President and now he is working hard against the lobbyist of the big insurance industry in Washington to deliver, as promised,

However, he can not do it alone. He relies on us to put pressure on our congressional representatives, in order to stop listening to the big interests in Washington. For that reason he called on a series of actions to achieve this, among them was a call to host a National Health Care Day of Service on June 27, 2009. I am hosting one at 5:00PM at “The Dominican Park”, in Allapattah, located at 2800 NW 17th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33142.

Last week, a draft of the Senate Finance Committee's health care reform bill was leaked to the press—and it lacked a public health insurance option, the heart of President Obama's plan for real reform.
A strong public option is key to bringing down the costs for all of us—both the cost of enacting a new health care bill and the cost to patients who're currently stuck with out-of-control premiums. And we need to make sure the Finance Committee hears this message immediately.

Florida voters have a special role to play since our senator, Bill Nelson, is on the Finance Committee. Sen. Nelson needs to hear from voters all around Florida.
Our message to Senator Bill Nelson is that, based on President Obama 3 Principles, Americans demand a strong public health insurance option NOW: one that is available to everyone, national in scope with real bargaining clout, ready to go on day one, and truly public.

We only get one chance for health care reform, and we have to get it right.

On May 27, 2009, I received an email for a Conference call, in reference to the proposed Health Care Reform, with President Obama and his former Director of Campaign, David Plouffe, and I rushed to create the following invitation to encourage my neighbors to participate in this event.

Later on we received copy by email of the Conference Call and decided to share with you this video, posted on youtube, as a way to encourage you to participate in the discussion of something that will change the lives of all of us in this Nation.

Judging by the success of different discussions held, one of them at the Miami’s Downtown Bay Forum and the other at the American Legion, organized by Santiago Leon, J.D., on June 1, 2009, it is obvious that everybody seems to be interested on this issue, including the Hispanic community and those, like Dr. Olveen Carrasquillo, advocating for the well being of the immigrants, as the below video shows…….

But I decided that I had a long due visit to my beloved family and changed my course to New York to share some good time with them
