Thinking of making a feature? Got no cash to do it? A must read for Australian DIY film makers, The Bondi Tsunami Rock n ’Roll Guide to Guerrilla Film Making is packed with tips and tactics for creating micro budget guerrilla style digital films with impact!
Shot on a hand held digital camera and edited on a bedroom computer on a budget of 12 credit cards, Australian Japanese Surfing Road Movie Bondi Tsunami
survived the odds of having a micro budget, a cast of inexperienced Japanese actors, no experienced crew and no theatrical distributor to become a critically acclaimed Australian Cult Classic; its unique music video motion picture style captivating audiences from around the world.
Award winning Bondi Tsunami film maker Rachael Lucas encourages you to create an intelligent destiny for your film, before you begin, by uniquely positioning and branding your film for today’s market.
In a world of instant global self distribution via the internet this easy to read book will help you evaluate the marketability of your ideas and break your production down into realistically achievable parts. (Featuring Bonus No Budget Music Video Section)

You are a busy girl. I'm definitely jealous you get to move around so much!! End of Feb will be great. In fact any time is good to catch up. I'm not far from the beach so maybe I can cook for you. Good luck in Tassy and I look forward to catching up in a few weeks. Crisso. xo
Hi Rach...saw you're film on SBS last night...nice one (got to be at least the 5th time I've seen it now)...had 3 friends ring me to tell me it was going to be on...well done. Missed you at Xmas too, but hope you had a good day. Karlene mentioned the good news which is rather exciting. Would luv to catch up with you all soon or when possible. Crisso xo
I just finished reading your Guerilla Filmmaking book. If my lil' indie psychological horror film Family Demons does well out there in the big, bad world of feature marketing and distribution, it will partly be due to all the advice I got out of your book. Thanks, Rachel for taking the time to write it and sharing so many invaluable insights into how to go about getting your film not only made, but seen. Ursula x
Happy Jet Rock B-day, far away friend ! I hope your project progresses well. I am in the UK right now for a festival, and waiting an answer from Byron Bay... Luv & Rock for you, baby !
Hey thanks heaps for the add! I saw Bondi Tsunami when I came out and loved it! After watchin it I did some research into it and you and it was seriously a great inspiring force to me in what is capable in Australia on a micro budget! I'll have to check out your guide thingy because guerilla film making is definately where I see myself in the next few years. I finish my uni course this year then next year intend to finally begin my first guerrilla style feature film!
