Born out a bottle of cheap gin and a pack of cigarettes, Bone Appetit has been handing out headaches for almost 6 years now. The band strolled onto the Duluth music scene in 1999 and immediately made their mark with a handful of unpolished, loud, and most of all tasteless songs about Hepatitus A, brain eating aliens, and of course who could forget the love a skull in the epic song "I Love You Skull". Despite being played off as just a novelty band, Bone Appetit never wavered, and the more opposition they got, the harder it was to get rid of them, or more importantly, shut them up. The band's popularity grew quickly as their shows were not to be missed, whether it be a smoked out basement show or a lavish stage production complete with fog machines, light shows, and yes, a 7 foot tall skull with arms outstretched over the crowd. Bone was never afraid to do anything on stage, and was willing to do the things other bands would not. In 2002 the band recorded it's first full length album called "Love, Lust, and Rock n' Roll" with famed producer Eric Swanson. Currently, plans are in the works for a compilation of various live performances from over the years of unreleased material and some songs you just can't get enough of. Bone Appetit has always been about the fans and having a hell of a good time. Although the band is planning it's farewell show in May, this is a band that won't soon be forgotten, but sorely missed.
