Bone Records was founded on the South Side of Chicago in 2001. Founded by the members of Ratbag Hero, Bone Records is an indie punk/rock label run by the folks in indie punk/rock bands. The Bone Records' roster consists of bands ranging from the straight up punk/rock of After the Fight & the drunk punk of Shooting Blanks all the way to the post hardcore of Rocky Denis and melodic punk of Laugh to Scorn. The bands on the roster can be found playing all over the chicago-land area... from the illustrious Double Door to the divey home away from home, The Mutiny Bar.
As was previously stated, the label was originally started by the boys from Ratbag Hero. With the demise of Ratbag, the future of the label was in serious question. However members from other bands on the roster were more than willing to step in and help keep the label operational. So as you can see, BoneRecords is not run like a corporation... it's run like a family. It's simply a group of friends who love to play music, supporting each other and looking to help out bands in the genre they love.
