Boney M is a Eurodance/pop/disco group, comprised of four talented West Indian singers and dancers. The group was the brainchild of German record producer Frank Farian. They were phenomenally successful during the 1970s, and hold several high marks for UK singles sales. Boney M, with their sensuous tunes and catchy rhythms, became one of the few Western groups at that time to become well-known outside of the West. To this day, along with ABBA, they are among the most widely known 1970s western music acts in these regions. Hits include: "Rivers of Babylon", "Rasputin", "Daddy Cool", "Sunny", "Ma Baker", "Belfast" and "Mary's Boy Child".
