5 years ago, when Bonzzaj was founded, there were 5 guys who shared a same vision. To name them: Florian Giger, Gabriel Giger, Pascal Wenger, Kilian Eyholzer and Roberto Balet. They grow up in a small city called Leuk embedded in the swiss canton of Valais, a stone’s throw away from Ticino and Italy, a place distinguishing itself through excellent wines, rugged mountains, much sun and some sort of desert-like lonelyness. They shared the same musically vision and began to organise concerts and partys in the middle of exoctic valais. The sucess was great and a strong company of people (djs, producers, musiclovers) was growing up. In these five years Bonzzaj started also a radioshow on Radio Rabe in Berne, which is still on air all two weeks. With the sucsess of the own things and the collaboration with other national people sharing the same musically vision, they toured with their soundsystem all over the country. In 2006 the first release on Bonzzaj Recordings called Nemoy „Afraw“ was released worldwide. The reason to start a label was to reach a worldwide audience. Bonzzaj tries to put the exotic area Valais in Switzerland and his talented artists on tha map of worldwide music. But also international artists are releasing on the label. The music of Bonzzaj Recordings is different and openminded. Quality and sharing the same musically vision are the only criterions on Bonzzaj.
Almost Tomorrow is the third full length collaboration album from Section 27 Netlabel founders Tam Ferrans and Andrew Paterson, under their Nonima & theAudiologist guise. This time around the sound is more melodic, and has a definite feeling of a complete and more mature sound than heard on the previous LP's "Dystopian Battle Hymns" and "Ceremony After Amputation". If you are familiar with their individual projects you may even be in for a slight surprise, as the tracks are not as beat driven like before, but are more atmospheric and sound, well... "bigger". In its 75 minutes, Almost Tomorrow takes you on a trip from the digital rain-soaked cavernous scraping in "Thoughtograph", the ethereal beat jittering of "The Colour of Rain", intercepted transmissions from unknown places in "Com-Intercept", "Ganzfeld"s huge yet strangely insect-like beats until everything you knew comes crashing around you in "Almost Tomorrow". Burning pianos, glitched out soundscapes and intricately programmed beatplay, this may well be their best work to date. Consider it the soundtrack to a rainy overcast day, but with just that glimmer of sunshine peeking from the clouds. "Almost Tomorrow" wears its heart on its sleeve.
