Boo Boo Cousins is a singer, songwriter, producer and native New Yorker.Mr. Cousins has been making waves in New York and throughout the Northeast. Layering a unique blend of live instruments and cutting edge music technology, Mr. Cousins has pioneered a sound all his own. His music can be described as an eclectic mix of soul, hip-hop and rock.Equally comfortable onstage and in the recording studio, Mr. Cousins has always surrounded himself with a stellar lineup of musicians.
He has 3 independent CD album releases that include the titles “Laid Back Cool” 2002, “Direct Sunlight” 2005 and “Wet Heat” 2008.Songs on his albums that have become memorable favorites for his audience are Girl, And Then There’s You, I Need You, Daybreak, Want You In My Life, Direct Sunlight, Trippy Pills, Wish I Was Still With You, My One Weakness and more.
Boo Boo Cousins has had the opportunity to play The M.E.A.N.Y. Fest and The Teriyah Festival in 2008.In the past he’s held a residency at The Chocolate Monkey hosting “Boo Boo’s Living Room” showcasing his music as well as artists from around the NYC Tri-State area.Other residencies Mr. Cousins has performed and co-hosted were at Solomon’s Porch & The Five Spot. He's had the opportunity to accompany on guitar and vocals Grammy Award Artist Ladybug Mecca (Digable Planets), noted artist Brian Jackson (Gil Scott Heron) as well as other artists.
