| | Music | Pretty much anything but elevator music or the stuff Chad listens to. Before him it was just elevator music/muzak that was on my no-no list, but he's added a new category for me. I don't even know what his style is, but half of it is beige to me. I love anything with a beat. I'd say my favorite artist is likely Otis Redding- not because I know all of his work, but because I can listen to him at any time and there will be a song that fits or lifts my mood perfectly. | | Movies | Good ones. I love classics, musicals- especially with Gene Kelly and Judy Garland, and side busters. I can't do the horror thing because I already have an overactive imagination and am scared of too many things on my own. I don't really need cinema adding to my fears. I know that many people see movies as an art form and I respect that. I really do. But I just can't watch some movies that require lots of thinking unless I'm in the mood for it or they were recommended/forced on me by my friends with excellent judgement. | | Television | I'd rather not say. You may not respect me in the morning. But I will tell you this- Desi & Lucy did not get their names out of a random book. Their names came from the lead actors in the greatest sitcom ever. This may hurt many of you- but Seinfeld does not compete with I Love Lucy. It just can't. Never will. I know it is painful for a lot of you, but the truth hurts sometimes. Deal. | | Books | I read just about anything but horror, autobiographies of people who irritate me, and sci-fi. My absolute favorite things to read are historical fiction books. Philippa Gregory is likely one of my favorite authors. Otherwise I love silly nonsense books with outrageous characters. Janet Evanovich and Elizabeth Peters are great examples because you can actually see these characters get themselves into ridiculous situations and flub themselves through it. I'm a bit in love with reading. I'll watch T.V., but only as a second resort or because I'm too tired to care. It's not right. I'll read a book in a day usually. Harry Potter? Maybe two days if I'm busy. Sick, huh? | | Heroes | Jesus- I mean seriously. Being told you're the son of God and then having to put up with a bunch of obnoxious people's crap when you're just trying to help them? And then the whole pain and suffering thing. Glad it wasn't me.
Any of my friends. I think that pretty much everyone has an amazing story to tell and all of those that I know and love have had difficulties in their lives and really proven themselves to be able to handle all that life throws at them. Each and everyone of my friends is amazingly unique and special. I know it's mushy, but my pals rock. You wish they were yours. |
