I am very nature oriented and love to be outdoors. Lake Ontario is 100 feet from my front yard and there is a huge park behind my neighborhood. I walk the coast and explore the woods often. Movies, books, writing, gardening, listening to music, and hanging out with friends are my favorite things and none are more important than the other. And oh, I should add that I like to build Lego sets - I have closet full of them...
Music
I like many different genres of music including classical (with the exception of Wagner and classical opera). On an everyday basis, my favorites include Bob Dylan, Neil Young, the Beatles, Ocean Colour Scene, the Verve, the Rolling Stones, U2, and most recently, Echonorth and Reindeer Section...
Movies
Movies are one of my addictions. I don't have cable so I rent a lot of them or borrow them from the library (one of my favorite places to vist). I like all genres old and new, but my favorites are fantasy, science fiction, and horror. "Lord of the Rings" tops my list in fantasy, and "The Matrix" scores high in science fiction. It takes a lot to really scare me and "The Grudge" was the last one to keep me up all night...
Television
I am not a great fan of watching commercial television, so again I rent TV series on DVD and watch them all at once sans commercials. Two series I did watch on television from beginning to end were "The X-Files" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" but the rest on this list I waited for the DVD release. Some of my favorites are "Lost," "Alias," "Six Feet Under," "Dead Like Me," and "Veronica Mars." A friend gave me "Grey's Anatomy" last week as an early birthday present and I watched the whole series in two nights - I highly recommend it...
Books
Books are yet another of my addictions - I read all the time and the library is one of my favorite places along with used book stores; I love the smell of old books. It would be difficult to name a favorite author or genre. Currently I am reading "The King of Tortes" by John Grisham...
Heroes
My heroes are my parents. My mother is totally blind, and my father was legally blind (meaning he had some, but very little visiion), so I had an unusual childhood by most peoples standards, though I never considered it as such. My parents taught me many lessons through their example, the most important - that there is no obstacle that life that can hand you that cannot be overcome, and there are always those worse off that need your care and support. My mother at age 79 still volunteers in the community. My father passed away a few years ago - I miss him terribly...
About me: I discovered early, that life is a journey, and there are many paths you can choose to take or ignore. I chose quite a few so far, and met many people along the road - each of whom have taught me a life lesson or two - some good, some bad, but everyone important. So, my advice is to take as many paths as possible, don't get stuck in a rut, and it's okay to leap the roadblocks, but always walk rather than run or you'll likely miss something invaluable. ..I made this layout with help from pYzam, Look at these other Layouts!
Who I'd like to meet: "I prefer to be a dreamer among the humblest, with visions to be realized, than lord among those without dreams and desires."

I hunger for something, someone For that remembered rapture Nightmares decadent, dark in places deep Before me a chaparral of thorns Filled with caskets and dust
CHAU VAN TRUONG have been approached by famous producers, directors, actors, and musicians in the entertainment industry and is already contracted with them through my lawyer. Most of your comments had been denied because it is not a salutation nor something artsy. You want me to listen to your music then ask me. If you post something, I will not approve it so DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!
Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

Everything is going well. I haven't written anything substantial lately either. So, don't feel bad. I am in the middle of editing a wedding that I did last Friday. It is going to take a while. I got a lot of really great shots. I am glad that you are keeping busy with work. I always wonder how you are.
Good to have you as a friend! So great to see the internet in action this way, shortening distances between people.
