So, Dan says to Sean, while they are playing a NYC show with the Sowashes, "Dude...I've wanted to start a band called Bookmobile since high school. (Dan and Sean went to the same high school, but didn't hang back in the day.) and I think you'd be perfect for it." Sean said he is too busy already fronting Melty Melty, and Winter Makes Sailors, but he'd give it a shot. So, Dan played Sean riffs over which Sean was able to sing sweet catchy, pop melodies. It was a hit. Sean was in.
They auditioned some drummers and Antonio Garza was the perfect fit. He was busy with Paper Airplane, but he was into the awesome 2 minute jams that Dan and Sean were writing.
Dan said he loved playing with John Fitzgerald from his Handshake days, and Antonio and Sean loved John from Pretty Mighty Mighty. So, they wrote some songs. Then they wrote some more songs. They started recording. They started over recording. Now they are almost done recording. Maybe.
Either way. Columbus, Ohio loves Bookmobile.

wanted to let you know about two great shows coming up with me and my trio. the first is this friday (5/1) at dicks den located at 2417 north high street. we will be playing 10-2. great band plus cheap drinks, defiantly a do not miss. the second is saturday may 16th at skullys. we will be splitting the night with the floorwalkers and jared mahone. both of these bands are amazing so put it on your calender now. hope to see you out friday and on the 16th.
