Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Neketia Brown moved to California with her mother at the age of 12. As a child, she knew that the performing arts was her true passion, and began performing in numerous stage plays and musicals. Neketia majored in Business Law at Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA., but while away, she realized that her true passion was for acting and she could not settle for anything other than that.
Since her return to California, Neketia has appeared in numerous film projects, stageplays and countless commercials and print ads, including Essence Magazine, Thunder Valley Casino, Microsoft, and Bank of America to name a few. In addition, she covers urban entertainment news for Northern California as the TV Host for “inside Black Sacramento" and has hosted several red carpet events, including the BET Awards (2008). This local radio personality can also be heard every Friday morning at 8:30 on the V101.1 FM Lee & Andrea Morning Show.
Neketia believes that to whom much is given, much is required and strives to illustrate the importance of never compromising who you are or your integrity to get ahead in this industry. With the gift that God has given her and her tenacious spirit, it won’t be long before she takes Hollywood by storm….so stay tuned, because there is definitely much more to see!
