My children, READING, writing, history, singing, movies, Christmas, cats....
TATTOOS- Aerosmith wings logo on right ankle, profile image of cat and baby--in likeness of my son when he was a baby--facing each other for a kiss on left leg on side of calf. I plan to have my children's names added around this when I finish having kids. My next ink will be a Celtic bracelet around my left forearm with the Celtic/Gaelic words for books, knowledge, power.

I will act now. I will act now. I will act now. Henceforth, I will repeat these words each hour, each day, everyday, until the words become as much a habit as my breathing, and the action which follows becomes as instinctive as the blinking of my eyelids. With these words I can condition my mind to perform every action necessary for my success. I will act now. I will repeat these words again and again and again. I will walk where failures fear to walk. I will work when failures seek rest. I will act now for now is all I have. Tomorrow is the day reserved for the labor of the lazy. I am not lazy. Tomorrow is the day when the failure will succeed. I am not a failure. I will act now. Success will not wait. If I delay, success will become wed to another and lost to me forever. This is the time. This is the place. I am the person.

You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture. Just get people to stop reading them. ~Ray Bradbury

Since I have named my page "Books are Knowledge and Power", then I have to say that BOOKS are the one thing that truly define me, as I am now. But, I am a self-professed Renaissance woman. I have many, many interests which range from BOOKS, movies, art, music to science, history and more. I am a singer (strictly for fun), I am a History and English major in college. I have a personal library in my home numbering over 2000 books--fiction and non-fiction! I am a writer and my greatest ambition is to write a novel--even better if it turns out to be best-selling and/or award-winning. I love my children and believe that they, and all children, are our future. I am very concerned about the environment and try to do my part whenever I can to improve it. I love Christmas--I am a Christmas fanatic actually! I'm sad when it's over and I start looking forward to it even before summer begins--lol! I also LOVE CATS!!!

These are not books, lumps of lifeless paper, but minds alive on the shelves. From each of them goes out its own voice... and just as the touch of a button on our set will fill the room with music, so by taking down one of these volumes and opening it, one can call into range the voice of a man far distant in time and space, and hear him speaking to us, mind to mind, heart to heart. ~Gilbert Highet

PLEASE NOTE: THESE ARE IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER!
You can approach the act of writing with nervousness, excitement, hopefulness, or even despair the sense that you can never completely put on the page what's in your mind and heart. You can come to the act with your fists clenched and your eyes narrowed, ready to kick ass and take down names. You can come to it because you want a girl to marry you or because you want to change the world. Come to it any way but lightly. Let me say it again: you must not come lightly to the blank page.

CHAU VAN TRUONG have been approached by famous producers, directors, actors, and musicians in the entertainment industry and is already contracted with them through my lawyer. Most of your comments had been denied because it is not a salutation nor something artsy. You want me to listen to your music then ask me. Chicks dig scars, everyone knows that, right? Meet Severence DeSnappio, a man who creates ‘fake’ injuries for desperate clients. He’ll get you a stab wound, shot gun blast, snowboarding injury - but a bite from a great white shark?
Set in Miami, Chicks Dig scars is a lyrical, Lynchian mix of dream logic and hard boiled detection.
Do you have any special plans for summer? We plan to go to Hurricane Harbor July 3rd
and to Raging Waters at some point, then we
have some family to visit. My aunt and sisters have a pool so I’m sure
we’ll be
getting plenty of pool time. I'm hoping to have a fun summer and be
able to have more fun with less work. I hope whatever you are doing you
have a fabulous summer.
I apologize for taking so long to reply back to your last comment. I managed to catch the flu somehow and as of late I’ve only been able to come on MySpace to check Email.
Your book club sounds really nice but I will reframe from joining unless I can be serious about it, I would want to be involved if I was part of it (I’d feel bad otherwise). Please don’t think that I’m just writing it off though! I really appreciate the invite and I’m excited about joining, I think it will be good for me.
I am on Twitter but I haven’t used it much. The reason for that might be that I haven’t been able to find anything interesting to do on there lol. Thanks for the tip about the book discussions. I will start following you on Twitter the next time I go on. I hope you are doing well. Keep on being you Michelle, you rock!
I haven’t been making the time to read lately and it honestly depresses me to no end. Hearing you talk about how much you love to read inspires me to get back into my reading. You obviously have an undying love for books and to me that is amazing. I know very few people who love to read this much and it’s enjoyable to talk to someone who is this passionate about it.
I've always thought about joining a book club and I alway see your posts about it....is that something you really enjoy?
