Bishop Terry Angel Mason former director of the prestigious San Diego Interfaith Gospel Choir is at it again! For over the last fifteen (15) years, Mason has been involved in countless fundraisers that have benefited all kinds of charities in the counties of San Diego and Los Angeles. Literally thousands of dollars have been donated to organizations that care for those battling CANCER and AIDS, to those facing poverty, hunger and homelessness. During the holiday season he and other volunteers also donate thousands of gifts to disadvantaged children in numerous communities. His caring spirit and generous contributions have even transcended the shores of our Homeland and reached the distant continent of Africa for which he has also raised money to purchase food, clothing and medical supplies in order to the meet the needs of individuals suffering from extreme poverty and AIDS. Mason, a former recipient of the KFMB (Channel 8) “EIGHT CARES AWARD” and countless other community service awards has been featured on numerous T.V. broadcasts, in addition to being written about in many national and international magazines. Now Mason has answered what he feels is even a higher call. Shortly, after leaving the Interfaith Gospel Choir, Mason began a "taking-it-to-the-streets,” kind of ministry by founding Imani Worship Center of San Diego. One cannot be fooled by Mason’s modest beginning; his ministry is far from being an average church! After ministering in San Diego for over seven years, Mason has now begun a dynamic new ministry in the Los Angeles area called, Fountain of Life Word Center, with additional plans to open another in Atlanta, GA. Bishop Mason’s ministry is not limited, however to the spoken word; he has distinguished himself through a vital and challenging musical ministry as well. Mason has received both national and international recognition as a gifted choral director, composer and singer. Currently he directs the “LOVE IS NOT SILENT COALITION CHOIR," that regularly performs for major events both locally and nationally. The choir represents a broad spectrum of ethnic backgrounds and spiritual beliefs (and is often joined by gifted soloists and choirs from around the country) and expresses Mason’s vision of racial and religious unity through the power of music. The choir’s growing popularity, extensive media acclaim and vision for the future is perhaps the reason why Mason’s Choirs are constantly being sought after by prestigious organizations, major production companies and many television networks (both local and national) to perform. Mayors and other elected officials often request his choirs to sing at numerous events such as The State of the City Address, national conventions, inaugural celebrations and nationally televised events where world-class leaders, former Presidents, and other renowned artists and entertainers are often in attendance. ..
