Our rating system
Here is how we rate the books we read.
We are honest and will never intentionally hurt anyone's feelings. But the way we feel here at BLR, it's better to be up front and open and, it is, what it is. It's either black or white, no gray or in between. Our reviews should be considered a learning tool for writers. We will never tear a book apart, no matter how badly it may be written. If you have an issue with any of the reviews written then you can email the group at anandajacks@excite.com and tell us about it. Be sure to include the name of the reviewer you are aiming at. If your book receives a lower rating, you can email us and ask us why we rated it that way. Though we are very busy, we always have the time to answer emails and questions.

About me:
Hello, my name is Ananda Jacks, AJ as my friends and family call me. I am relatively new to MySpace but have used other places to tell people about our book review service.
WE DO NOT AND NEVER HAVE CHARGED FOR OUR SERVICES AND WE NEVER WILL!
There are a handful of us who will happily review your book. Our only goal is to get the word out about good reading material...or not so good! Here at BLR we are fair, honest and willing to give you, the author, feed back about why we rated your book the way we did. We might even be able to give you a few hints on how to better your writing for future projects. We will post any and all reviews for books sent to us on our BLOG PAGE. It is never our intention to hurt anyone's feeling or to bash a book. We do what is expected of a review service; we read and write reviews for the book/s we just read.
AT THIS TIME WE ONLY ACCEPT PAPERBACK OR CD...NO DOWNLOADS OR PDF FILES, SORRY.

Our Readers/Reviewers
Ananda ...is a published author of several books. A.J., as her friends call her, has had many news articles published in various news papers. She's also an avid photographer with quite a few of her pictures published as well. She reads everything she can get her hands on. Last year alone she read 320 books! Ananda enjoys reading romance and Sci-fi most of all.
Jen... is the voracious reader in the bunch. She reads everyday and graduated from SPJC with a 4.0 in English Lit. Jen comes to us by way of Georgia and has had many of her poetry pieces published and she wrote for her small town news paper. Jen enjoys poetry, childrens, and memoirs most of all.
Wilma...is the artist in the group. Having written events for her church news letter, for the last 10 years, which is published monthly classifies her to be a published author...in her eyes. Wilma too is an avid reader and is currently working with another author on a cook book. Wilma enjoys reading spiritual and mysteries most of all.
Helena...is our Jill of all genre's. She's written articles for Penthouse to Gothic to supernatural and most everything in between. There isn't anything she doesn't read. She was an English teacher for 30 years. She retired 15 years ago and moved to Florida from Maryland. Helena enjoys reading...reading and reading anything!
Liz is our newest reader/reviewer. She has become one of the most sought after reviewers. Liz is very in tune with Sci-Fi, every aspect of this particular genre. But she reads most anything she gets her hands on. Having lived and traveled to many places in the world, Liz has a very unique way of digesting the story she is reading. She will tell it like it is and give you the cold, hard facts about your writing. She is the teacher.
