When I'm playing with my own band (The Knockouts) I have soulful twin cities guitarist John Franken as he knows my repertoire, compliments my style and has a huge blues vocabulary. On bass I have John Schroder who is not only one of the most veteran players around but I've also known him forever. He plays in the pocket and can swing all night long. On drums I prefer Dwight Dario as he and Schroder have honed a wonderful rhythm tandem by virtue of countless gigs with Black and Tan artist Big George Jackson. Over the past year I have also enjoyed playing numerous gigs with Reverend Raven and the Chainsmoking Alter Boys. Rev Raven is a consumate professional and it has been a pleasure playing with him at several cool festivals, ballrooms and bars in the upper midwest. When I'm not busy with the above bands I can often be found playing with the Fabulous Minnesota Barking Ducks. I've worked with the legendary "Ducks" off and on for the past 10 years and have enjoyed my association with Mic, Burnie, Ed and Kit.
