Boombox Brothers is a regional DJ booking company in Corpus Christi, Texas servicing the entire South Texas and Coastal Bend area (Rio Grande Valley to Austin). BBB provides DJs for Night Club bookings, Wedding Receptions, and other Special Events and Festivals. BBB is owned by Curtis Rock, a young professional and graduate of Texas A&M University Corpus Christi's college of Business. In addition to his business experience, he also has several years of experience performing as a DJ with many accolades.
Curtis Rock began his DJ career in 2001 when he bought his first pair of Technic 1200 turntables at a pawn shop and some vinyl records from his mentor: DJ Dus. Influenced by mixshow DJs like DJ Scribble, DJ Rectangle, DJ AM, and even local mixmasters DJ Natural. Curtis Rock worked diligently to learn the art of mixing music, beat matching, and learning basic skratching techniques. His early performances were at small house parties, then big college parties, followed by night club stints, and eventually his dream became reality when he received his own live mixshow on the radio. Curtis Rock is serviced by record labels such as Def Jam, Universal, Arista, Jive, Virgin, Interscope, and many more - receiving the newest and hottest tracks before they hit the airwaves. Curtis Rock also provides music editing services such as custom remixes and cuts for cheerleading or dance routines. Currently, Curtis Rock is the house DJ for Aria Sky Terrace & Lounge, and is available for bookings.
