..... born in Paderborn (Germany), December 18th, 1977, Booming B. has been Djing since 1993/94! In the beginning, he was working with Soul and Hip Hop Tracks and also some hardcore and gabba sounds. One year later came the first House Party in his city and he fell in Love with House Music ! The name Booming B., was given to him by his friends DJ Domink Trumane and DJ Chaos. In the early days, he was already interested in the DJ styles of Little Louie Vega, Frankie Knuckles, DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter and Spencer Kincy aka Gemini or Traxx. He was very inspired by Terrence Parker and some Hip Hop Dj..s as well. From these DJs, Booming B. developed his skills and various mix techniques. Very important to Booming B. are the Masters at Work. In mostly every Booming B. set, you will find at least one of their tracks. US Style DJ's, served as a major influence to this DJ. In the early days, Booming heard the Hot Mix 5 Radio-Shows and he was very inspired because of the fast mix styles and various music categories. Listening to these DJ..s, he developed his own personal style.....

It´s been a long and bumpin’ ride
for DJ Booming B., a.k.a. Björn Hinzpeter.
The German graphic designer’s love affair with beats hatched in a grey area amidst hip hop, soul, and gabba sounds until his discovered passion for Chicago disco house delivered him to proper DJing in 1994. He counts the entire Cajual label, Masters at Work Posse, Dj Sneak, Derrick Carter, and Dj Traxx among his greatest influences, but ultimately it was Terrence Parker that inspired Booming B. to really hone his DJ skillz and emerge a househead turntableist.
Life and love eventually brought Booming to Chicago, the birthplace of house music. It was here that he co-founded his label, Itch-N-Sniff Records, with Chicago’s own John Daminato, and on it debuted his first release in 2010. He played to crowds in and around Chicago and Detroit before returning to Germany full time.
Today Booming B. is headquartered in his native Paderborn, and frequently tours much of western Europe to spread the house love to his fans. He also founded and still manages the highly prestigious Jack Invasion event, which allows him to host his music mentors and acts as an outlet for the vibe he’s picked up along the ride.
