BOOMSLANG is a progressive metal band that takes an innovative and fresh
approach into the realm of metal music.
The band was founded in 2003 by two long time friends and musicians’ vocalist Rich Treadway and bassist Mark Price. Driven to stand apart, BOOMSLANG eagerly set out to inaugurate their listeners to a new and
indescribable musical experience by providing a sound that clearly is unique.
Every member of this power group brings their own brand of metal from their vast and diverse range of experience in the metal scene. This unique mix of talent creates the tight, well-versed songs that seem to appear like magic. The original hooks, powerful vocals, and range of hypnotic and potent harmonies, give this band an edge. They clearly prove they are a force to be reckoned with. Their drive and dedication to the music and their fans sets these guys apart. Boomslang's full intent is to clearly stand out from the rest.
Boomslang rewrites the rules of metal with an unparalleled live performance that always succeeds in giving the audience a taste of metal music that is

In 2006 Boomslang released their debut CD entitled INSANITY which they recorded at Sleepless Nights Studio in Madison, WI with Paul Schluter as
engineer and co-producer and was mastered by Greg Reely of Vancouver.
Tracks from the CD have made their way onto several regional radio stations
and internet radio broadcasts to rave reviews.
BOOMSLANG has kicked off the year 2008 with their usual ferocity. In February of 2008 they had the opportunity to open for longtime artist Jackyl to a Sold Out crowd of 3,500 people in their hometown of Danville, IL. Due to the regional following BOOMSLANG has earned, tickets sold out in just 2 days.
In 2007 Boomslang was responsible for the creation of the first ever all day metal musical festival entitled Slangfest in Danville, IL which featured several metal bands from the Midwest region. It was the first event of this kind in their area and was totally arranged, booked, and funded by the guys in Boomslang, right down to the beer vendor. The event was so successful Boomslang sponsored and developed the show again for 2008. The all day
show featured several of the best unsigned metal bands in the Midwest. For the headliner Boomslang was able to secure Eclipse artist Scum of The Earth featuring '’Riggs' formerly of Rob Zombie to headline the show. The event brought in over 1,000 fans of all ages from the regional area.
Boomslang’s following and dedication to bringing the metal experience to their fans iswhat sets this act apart.
BOOMSLANG is back in the studio and working on their next release. As always the band intends to continue building the momentum and plans to spread its name and talent as far is it can possibly go.
BOOMSLANG is comprised of Rich Treadway on Vocals, Mark Price on Bass, Mike Burke and Lon Ray on Guitar and Shannon ‘Ace’ Frailey on Drums. The band hails from Danville, IL.
BOOMSLANG is returning to the studio in March 2008 and are currently shopping for a record label.

Just wondering if anyone wanted to have some art done; I'm in dire need of the work so feel free to pass the word. Also doing trades, and willing to travel a bit if necessary...Preferably for tattoo parties if that's a concept. I also do traditional art, photo-retouching and fixing, graphic design, freelance research and writing, (I'm sort of a Jack-of-All-Trades), portraitures, etc...
