About me:

This extremely talented, film Director/Writer has arrived on the entertainment scene and is looking forward to evoking an explosion of raw talent within the film industry. Bringing with him an unbridled passion for directing, and years of experience, Nahala Johnson known to his friends and clients by his nickname “Boom” and his alter ego "Mr. Boomtown" as a music video director, took the ultimate “leap of faith” by venturing into this quest, full-time in order to give birth to his dream. In June 1999, this Port Arthur, Texas native bid farewell to his position with the Dallas Cowboys’ Television Production Company (Silverstar Network) where he produced and edited feature stories for “The Jerry Jones Show”, “The Coaches Show” and “The Making of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Calendar”. His company Boomtown Productions had finally become a reality and the time had arrived for him to introduce his fresh perspective to the industry. Mr. Boomtown’s vision and long-term objective is to produce and direct feature films, music videos and commercials that will appeal in a way that has not yet been seen before. His contribution is given through his ability to produce and direct projects that are visually exciting with a creative edge that supersedes traditional filmmaking. In the January of 2003, Johnson and partners 2A’s Films released their first independent feature film entitled “Wash It Up!” an adaptation of the 70’s hit “Car Wash”. In 2004, he and his company began production on his sophomore feature, “Dominos” a dramatic tale about the games we play in our relationships. It was nationally release in January 2006 via Block Buster, Hollywood Video and Wal-Mart. Currently, the former Linebacker for the University of Houston Cougars and 1995 graduate is working on and has produced and directed a number of Rap and R&B Music Video with artists such as his child hood homies Pimp C & Bun B of UGK, Scarface, Slim Thug, Baby Boy, Lil Boosie, Lil Flip, Jim Jones, Rick Ross, David Banner, 8 Ball & MJG, Birdman, Mac 10, Glasses Malone,Tum Tum, Big Tuck, Play N Skillz, Mike Jones, Lil Zane, Manny Fresh, 2 Pistols, T Pain, Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti, Trae Da Truth, Young Ralph, Red Cafe, DJ Drama, Huey, Maino, Z-Ro, Mya, Paul Wall, a host of others and more to come. In the Summer of 2009 Mr. Boomtown will begin production on his third independent feature "Candy". Mr. Boomtown and Boomtown Productions are strategically positioned to realize his desire of becoming, “The Premiere Independent Film Production Company in the South”. “The Dallas and Houston markets are like a volcanoes getting ready to erupt”; and Mr. Boomtown could not be happier that he and his team are right there, at the base, waiting to ride out the aftermath of the explosion.

This is where the word "TRILL" originated. Port Arthur, Texas. We were young teens chasing our dreams of being Rap stars. This brings back many memories. See I split my time between bangin heads on the football field and rapping. Look at me with my football practice gear on. Ya'll see Pimp C & DJ DMD? I want yall to know we were fucking with keyboards & drum machines back then. Making real music as teens. Pimp & Bun took all of our dreams to another level and made it reality. Much luv to my homies. This is history. This is P.A. history. This is HIP HOP! We Were HIP-HOP! Luv it man!!!
