About me:
Bootworks Theatre Collective is an unincorporated and multi‐disciplined group of artists committed to making high quality and innovative street art and performance.
Bootworks (and The Black Box) have been making and touring work since 1999. We have a number of ‘core’ members but are a collective in the traditional sense (biographies of all artists and partners involved in this project can be found above).
The main work and company is coordinated and directed by Robert Daniels and Emily Coleman. However, every show is devised and performed by an ever-changing roster of artists; Emily and Robert are experienced professionals, and because of our work in other areas, the rest of the company are made up of emerging artists, and young talent; newly graduated or trained.
Bootworks is predominantly working on projects with The Black Box, a street theatre performance for an audience of one.
2009 is our 10th birthday - and we planning big things: a new Black Box, a new show and an even bigger tour!!! Stay tuned for more, and check out our new webpage for more info.
"Bootworks Theatre was one of the great pleasures of this year's Latitude Festival... a delicious performance."
Lyn Gardner, THE GUARDIAN 24 August 2008
"A great, ingenious, joyful spree into being inside a film. Only theatre could do this!."
Jude Kelly OBE (Metal Culture and the South Bank)
