THE ANSWER TO THE EXCUSE THAT 'YOU DONT UNDERSTAND A JAMAICAN ACCENT '
BOOZY BEE, the business man, lyricist, songwriter and aspiring reggae/rap/rock star artist is about to be THE household name. While other dancehall acts try to stray from the ever criticized cross over hip hop lyrics, Boozy Bee, embraces the genre in such a manner that he creates his own style of music that is undoubtedly, something Unique.
The 25 year old artist was born in Miami Florida but raised in Jamaica as his parents who are of Jamaican decent thought it best for him to be exposed to the rich Jamaican culture. Additionally, they decided that it would be best for him to receive his formal academic training through the Jamaican educational system.
It was during his years in Jamaica that he was introduced to the dancehall/reggae scene and gained a keen ear for music on a whole thus opening his insatiable appetite and desire to write and perform. Additionally, while vacationing in the United States, England, Italy & other places around the globe, Boozy Bee was exposed to almost every genre of music. He then started writing and performing informally during his high school days. At this time, his older cousin Jamahl "Light" Hannah was signed to Warner Brothers Records in a group called Da Bushbabees. Jamahl, who was one of the first reggae artists at the time to get a major deal during the era of Shabba Ranks, Mad Cobra and Super Cat. Boozy then decided that he wanted to emulate and thus follow his cousin's footsteps while maintaining his own style. With his cousin's and other prominent artists as a major influence he eventually discovered his niche and thus decided that he would attempt to successfully merge two genre's of music into one.
Boozy Bee has taken his music to the level where no genre is unapproachable and no topic is taboo. He writes music as if he's relaying a story with all details and explicit descriptions; his use of melodies and his ability to flow is extraordinary, but what should captivate the audience is his lyrics and his ability to write to any beat of any genre while adding his creative twist to that particular style of beat or rhythm
Most who hears his rhymes can attest to his dynamic, creative and wickedly versatile style. To simply put it, Boozy Bee is the music industry's next big thing!!!
