.. .. .. .. .. .... .. .. .... .. .... History .... BoppinB Info 2008 Since 1985 BoppinB has played the stages of this planet with their very own brand of Rock..n’ Roll. Arising from a school band, their first LP was recorded 1988 and was called "Bee Bop". Due to the large number of gigs by 1990, the students turned into drop-outs and the working-men quit their jobs to go ahead with Rock’n’Roll. From that time on the band played about 200 gigs a year. The style of BoppinB has been developed and improved over the years. This is self evident when comparing any two of their large range of LPs, CDs and CD-singles released over their long-lasting career. At the Beginning, their first record had the traditional rockabilly sound at its core. However this has led over time to the current reincarnation of the bands music. Yet in 1990 the band transformed a contemorary popsong into a rockabilly tune on their album “The Look“, and later on lots of them more on the album “Hits“ wich caused quiet a numer of TV-appearances. Although nowadays it’s common to lots of Rockabilly bands to turn modern songs into rockabilly, surely no other contemporary band did it that perfect. It took form by entering the german top 40 Album-Charts with their conceptional album "Bop around the pop" in 2004. The album and its singles "If you believe" and "We can leave the world" made it into the German charts which created enormous media attention and large interest by the increasing number of live audience. With the follow-up album “Rock’n’Roll Radio“ BoppinB prooved that the raw spirit of Rockabilly just as little as their fine sens of humor never left the band. This is prooved by their videoclip from the singlerelease “Radio“. And though the music of BoppinB today is completely unique, due to the bands skillful integration of other music styles, such as Ska or Swing they still pay tribute to their Rockabilly-roots. BoppinB should not be considered as a song-covering or song-transforming band but primarily as five musicians who attach a lot of importance to writing and recording their own songs. Even though the band is frequently on television and radio, their homeland is clearly the stage which BoppinB is widely famed for. No wonder, after playing more than 4000 live gigs! The flamboyant stage show of the band, is always secondary to the music. The band shows that they are not only extremely accomplished professional musicians but also are enjoying playing and entertaining their audiences with their sheer energy for the music. For this reason BoppinB must be considered one of the finest contemporary live acts nowadys.
