Bopworks sticks came about from the realization that current jazz model sticks can sometimes be too heavy and “overdrive” a ride cymbal in quiet playing situations. Jazz drummers often have to deal with “live”rooms that are acoustic nightmares: unmiked pianos & acoustic basses in restaurants or coffeehouses, hotel lobbies, dinner sets ...well, you get the idea.
Thanks for getting the Krupa sticks to me so quickly. Got to play 'em today at a session & just loved them.
Had to try 'em as soon as I saw the triangle tip. I'm a fan of the Stanton Moore model that Vic Firth makes, & especially the old Jim Keltner model that Johnny Rabb used to make, for the same reason.
The tip is SO versatile for getting different tones & dynamics out of the drums & cymbals. I'll be ordering more of yours for sure. They sport a nice, light yet focused sound, and feel just great.
Thanks again & all the best with your noble endeavor.
