"Borderline" is a Pop Punk band that started up in December of 2007 in the small town Waldorf, Maryland. The lead singer Connor Doran and drummer Rob Willis had been in previous bands together and had jammed for a while. They decided to start up a band again and picked up young upcoming guitarist Drew Mercer who had just started playing guitar at that time. The played together for a little bit before they realized they needed to pick up a bassist. That's where Mike Dillon came into play. He was formally in the band "Taken for Granted" which he had dropped out of that summer. That band continued to go on to be "Amity" and currently "We Have the Summer". "Borderline" and "We Have the Summer" are like brother bands to each other and play shows with one another and help each out as much as possible.
"Borderline" first started getting shows at a local venue known as "My Brother's Place". They started to build up a small but strong fan base and since then have branched out to all of Southern Maryland and some of Washington, DC. Since then they have built up a strong fan base of come close friends and some new fans. As mentioned before "Borderline" plays a pop punk style with a bit of an alternative thrown in. All members are still currently Juniors in High School and go to North Point High.
They plan to try and make it big and hopefully pull of a successful tour or two in the next year or so before they go to college so they can see what the future of the band ahead will be. Everyone in "Borderline' is pretty chill and easy to hang out with.
