Newport, R.I. - not all fun and games as one might think. We lost the fifth member of Bored Youth on January 4, 2008 when Paul Ferri moved onto that big gig in the sky. There are countless stories of Paul, some of which have not exceeded the statutue of limitations though he has. Paul was able to not only change a guitar string during a song but able to re-wrap the damn thing (we were too broke to buy strings so we'd fix broken ones) and get it on Smitty's gitbox, all of us praying we could get through the set without breaking too many more.
We had a memorial for Paul on April 20th in Newport, scattering his ashes in an undisclosed location. At least most of his ashes; some will be scattered in the desert next month. Paul never made it out here but would have loved it.
