Powerful!!!... is how New York's Borgo Pass describes their sound. As a five piece band Borgo Pass has built themselves a large loyal fan base with their massive grooving and infectious sound. They have also created quite a buzz in the heavy music scene as a force to be reckoned with now, and for a long time to come. Borgo Pass cites hard rock/metal and good ol' southern rock from the late '60's and '70's and mixes it together with a more modern and aggressive approach. Realizations of everyday life is their main influence. The band's second self-produced album "Powered by Sludge", released in early 2000, was extremely well received by their ever growing legion of fans, creating a feeding frenzy of downloading on MP3.com. The album became critically acclaimed worldwide, being named one of the top 10 albums of 2000 by the Netherlands' Aardshock Magazine! Borgo Pass has also released two more albums since then, "Slightly Damaged" and "Nervosa" which were indeed big hits with the fans. Currently, Borgo Pass has just released an EP titled "BFP EP", which the BP fans are eating up with a hungry metal appetite. Borgo are ready to head back into the studio to record a full length, so stay tuned for more BFP music. Borgo Pass has played with many top bands including: Type O Negative, SuperJoint Ritual, Heaven and Hell, Alice Cooper, Queensryche, Shadows Fall, Alice in Chains, Clutch, Kittie, Anthrax, Bio-Hazard, Life Of Agony, Kings X, The Misfits, Unida, Vince Neil of Motley Crue, Overkill, Dokken, W.A.S.P. and many more. The band continuely plays with the local, heavy, Long Island Music Scene which involves many strong up and coming bands. Borgo Pass has had a self-sufficient tour of the Southern United States including a wicked performance at The House of Shock (NOLA) two years in a row. If you enjoy music that is powerful, diverse, and emotionally charged, then you must experience this roller coaster ride of the senses known as Borgo Pass…Pronounced…..we think you know just how we pronounce it.
