About me: Don't call it a comeback...I've been here for years.
Born Athletic The Facility is no more. Between the economy and old haters bad mouthin' us, it just wasn't working out. I'm still here, though. And I am still committed to helping any athlete I can become the best they can be. I have spent most of my time this season between Shawnee Community College covering Saints games and Frankfort High where I have helped the Redbirds.
Most people don't know what my day job is...they just see me at games. I direct the Athletic Training Education Program at SIU and I have a PhD...so I find it pretty cool when people refer to me as "Dr. Brooks," since it took me 10 years of college to earn that right.
I love hanging with my fam...I have a wonderful wife Christi and two beautiful kids...my daughter Brynnan is 5 and my son Taye is 2.
I play drums at FBC in West Frankfort and I pretty much love music of all kinds.
I love sports, but since that's pretty much all I have ever done, I don't mind not watching when I get some downtime.
I have worked with the Oakland Raiders, the U of Arizona Wildcats, the U of Texas El Paso Miners, the Liberty Flames, SIU, the Florida Firecats (Arena2 football) and the SI Miners. I also have a world championship ring from the 2001 USA Baseball YNT. Been all over the world as an athletic trainer and strength specialist...don't ask how I ended up back in So Ill...I honestly don't remember!

I'd still like to meet Nehemiah, who managed to lead the unleadable...Job, who managed to keep faith when it didn't seem there was any reason to...Stephen, who was strong to the finish...and Jesus, who gave me a gift I can never earn and sure as heck didn't deserve.
yah now they are...almost lost my job bout a week ago though..i had the flu for bout 2 weeks, but for one week i felt like i was dying.i couldnt cover a few games, and no one could cover..they actually said contract was over and to turn in my keys..good ol treg pulled us out of the mess though!! ps..u have any ties in maryland?? looks like that may be where we are goin in June

hey T so nothihng is torn yay! the dr. said i have a very bad deep bone bruse right next to my meniscus so it have inflamed all that area and thats why it hurts so bad and is poping and what not so it sucks but its better then some thing torn
the rest has done some good... i start pt tomorrow on the sholder and have an mri on the knee thursday so we will know how that goes. thank you for sending her an email and getting her off my back.
