There's something funny that Los Angeles does to people. The equation of San Antonio, Texas, Connecticut, Charlottesville Virginia, London England, and the Phillipines has resulted in the music that Borne plays, and an outgrowth of those experiences and lead singer Michael Mewborne's time in Los Angeles, Michael Mewborne is the frontman, heart and soul of BORNE, a pop/rock band that has subtlely seduced southern California with its uniquely memorable sound. Michael's most recent venture is both a demonstration of his natural ability, indefatigable passion and a harbinger of greater things to come. BORNE is the outgrowth of the overwhelmingly positive response to Michael's solo debut album "Apart From Within." He recruited his bandmates in order to fully realize the flavor of his original music in a live setting. As a young singer/songwriter growing up in Texas, Michael spent many hot nights in Austin, "The live music capital of the world." He was inspired by the musicians who performed there, and hoped to one day join their ranks. As luck and hard work would have it, Michael developed an amazing voice which he has used to pay his way from London to Manila to Los Angeles, gracing many a stage en route. Michael's Adult Contemporary sound mixed with a pop/rock feel reaches a broad audience from college guys to teenage girls. His music is perfect for shows on the WB such as "The O.C." Cuts from his album have piqued the interest of music supervisors in Hollywood who are poised to place his music in upcoming productions.
