Born out ofMoonshine is Dave Barber and Nathan Waterman, playing Monomes, laptops, tape recorders, and a mix of acoustic instruments. Joined by vocalist Carrie Shanafelt, they combine intricate electronic patterns with live sampling and sound manipulation. Resonant drones explode into crashing waves of sound. A waltz pops up and jumps out the window. Simple structures grow, mutate, and collapse in ecstatic blend of textures and rhythms.
