Duane Parsons and Sam Regalado forged a similar path that eventually led to Boscoe's Brood. Both grew up in the Los Angeles area where they were weaned on the likes of The Beatles, Motown artists and the hard rock scene. While Sam made the rounds with local bands and composed music that drew work and attention from the DeWalden International Music Publishers and Warner/Chappell Music, Duane did his drumming apprenticeship in the Hollywood television and movie industry and played live at the Academy Awards. Parsons, a UCLA grad, continued to expand his musical interests with philharmonic and concert performances along the California coast, while Sam, a Washington State University grad, played guitar and keyboards at coffee houses throughout the Pacific Northwest. Having settled in the Central Valley wine country, they played in competing cover bands and, in the circle of the Modesto music scene, in 2007 they formed Boscoe's Brood with the expressed intention to create music that appealed to the eclectic ear. To that end, in 2008 the two performed a series of shows and, drawing entirely from keyboards and drums, constructed a unique sound with which audiences started to identify and gravitate.
John Bishop joined the duo a year later. Raised in Livermore, the northern California native took to the music of the southern California Beach Boys as his musical model. As he increased his skills on the bass and guitar, his tastes widened to include ska and reggae. Upon moving to Modesto in 2000, the bassist virtuoso joined the rosters of several of the areas most popular bands, including one that reached the level of “Nashville Star Finalist”, and performed at nearly every major county fair in northern California. Looking for a challenge to advance his musical tastes, the experienced journeyman became intrigued with the Boscoe’s Brood progressive selections and entered a new chapter in his own artistic history.
Now a trio, Boscoe’s Brood, with inspired initiative, looks to advance to new levels of ideas, experimentation, and creativity. The guitar has come into play, as have more extensive elaborations on vocal and harmony work. Moreover, with the band’s new era come plans to complete a ten-selection CD, and efforts to perform in areas beyond the home front. Boscoe’s Brood is an experience with components that are quirky, syncopated, melodic, and progressive. Sometimes it is even twisted. And as always, it makes an impression. Let the party begin.

Good stuff! I can certainly hear the Talking Heads influence in BlackBerry Queen. Nice LOL reference...that means Lots Of Love right? ;) The vocal harmonies in Someway remind me a bit of Yes.
