BOSH - Five gents who make music that not only gets inside your head, but into your heart. They make music to move you, and music to make you move. They’ve notched up 150+ gigs since 2004 and 10 releases since 1998.
Their influences come from iconic British bands and result in churning Hammond organs, big drum sounds, intense bass grooves, gritty guitars and expansive soundscapes. There's punch, there's power, there's passion, with moments of tenderness and tranquility.
After two years honing the songs on the road BOSH went into the studio, emerging six months later to announce the arrival of their flagship album 'Sound the Alarms' released in April 2008 on Risen Records. Produced by a team which included Grammy nominated engineer/producer Steve Ennever and Paul Burton (Delirious, Elbow, Athlete and Snow Patrol) 'Sound the Alarms' captures the infectious live energy and hook laden songs that have won audiences over and helped BOSH a build a notable following. The album has been incredibly well received by critics and fans alike, spawning regular radio airplay for ‘Police Helicopter’, ‘Blacklines’, ‘Heaven Syndrome’ and ‘There Is’. There was TV airplay for the live video of ‘Police Helicopter’ too.
Not interested in fitting in with any scenes or following fashions (and all the better for it) BOSH just want to lift people. 'Sound the Alarms' is a fantastic offering from a band that stands out amongst some of today's predictable and generic music. BOSH have a natural flare for creative, powerful song writing, backed up by a live performance that is truly captivating.
"Magnificent" - The Taunton Herald
"Sound The Alarms" is full of top quality songs, solid bass, solid, interesting, thought provoking lyrics and at times brilliant drums. If I had to sit down and pick one song off the album that you just have to listen to it would have to be "There Is" with its Piano start and atmospheric feel. Each track on Sound The Alarm is British Christian Rock at its best and is worthy of a listen. Years of playing as a band together has paid off with what I can only describe as a classic Christian Rock Album. 4.5/5" - Jono Davies, louderthanthemusic.co.uk
"Sound The Alarms' delivers everything that Bosh's riveting stage performances suggested - impassioned, driving rock applied to hooky songs that eschew formula yet are instantly memorable...a gem of an album. 10/10 - Tony Cummings, Cross Rhythms
