UKULELE SAFARI 2008 Bosko & Honey are a home-made ukulele duo and married couple based in the rainforest village of Kuranda, near Cairns, Queensland, Australia.
They began playing ukulele in 2005 and soon fell in love with this wonderful instrument.
After posting a series of videos on the internet called Bosko & Honey's Ukulele Love-In they were spotted by the organisers of the New York Ukulele Festival.
So in 2007 they went to New York, where they met a bunch of really great people... and discovered there was actually an international ukulele scene!
The fun and excitement of this experience inspired them to begin a project called: BOSKO & HONEY'S UKULELE SAFARI 2008.
The Ukulele Safari is a series of videos being uploaded to YouTube and their Website which are the result of meetings with ukulele players (amateur and professional alike) around the world. Bosko & Honey recorded Songs and Interviews with ukulele enthusiasts, performers, collectors and makers... and also documented the Festivals and ukulele events they attended.
They have played at and documented Ukulele Festivals in New York (New York Uke Fest 2007 and 2008), Italy (Vicenza 2008), the UK (Hollesley 2008) and Germany (Gross-Umstadt 2008), as well as visiting dozens of ukulele clubs and groups around the world.
