I have a radio proposal for an R&B station in the Portland market called THE BEAT. I feel Portland radio needs an R&B station that promotes leadership, self awareness, community out reach, and quality programming. There is a strong disconnect between Portland radio and its listeners and I feel with THE BEAT we can reconnect with the audience. Also, THE BEAT would supply great music that hardly gets heard in this market and play list that is more than forty songs deep.
