Assistance with a Beef and Beer for Brain Cancer
On October 25 the Mannion Family will host a beef and beer to benefit brain cancer and the Race For Hope in honor our cousin Marty Mazanec or as he is known MartDogg.
Marty was a great kid leaving us too soon at the age of 19. He taught us all a lesson in hope, selflesness and faith.
We are currently looking for donations of food , beverages, and items for our raffles ( I am donating a basket of homebrew and beer items) . We ask your assistance in making this a spetacular event where we can raise enough money so that brain cancer will be cured, and no one will have to suffer a loss like this again.

Friends:
I am writing to ask you to save the date and for your help during OcTrolleyFest, 2008, scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2008. As you know, the past three years have been leading up to a celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the first streetcars to connect Philadelphia with the communities of Delaware County in 1858. In these days of high gas prices and global warming, celebrating a non-polluting, historic, existing, economical form of transportation simply makes sense. You are invited to be part of the celebration.
This year’s OcTrolleyFest will be especially exciting because it is being combined with a Fireman’s Muster being organized by Darby Fire Co. No. 1 (One of America’s oldest volunteer companies chartered in 1775) and the dedication of a marker commemorating Printz’s Mill (Pennsylvania’s first water powered grist mill built by Swedish governor Printz in 1646, nearly 40 years before Penn’s arrival). There will be music, food, fun and surprises.
If you are an organization, you could be a sponsor ($500) and receive mention in all publicity and a prominent position in the ad book, or take out an ad ($150 for 8 ½ x 11 full page, $100 for ½ page, $65 for ¼ page, $10 for patron listing) or your organization can participate in the Community Fair, or help with the Poster Contest, or help lead tours, or any number of things. Please give us a call and we can talk about possibilities.
OcTrolleyFest is a framework around which a number of things can take place. Please call (610) 583-0788 or send an e-mail so we can talk about ways that you can participate. For additional information, visit www. octrolleyfest. org .
