I am currently a graduate student in vocal performance at Brigham Young University and have been composing on the side. I have always loved to write music and have most recently discovered the beauty of composing choral music. "Kyrie" is a recent composition that was performed by the BYU Singers directed by Dr. Ronald Staheli. It has most recently been performed in Denver by the Kantorei Singers directed by Richard Larson in the Eric Whitacre Festival held on June 11th.
"To Have Loved Him" is one that I wrote 2 or 3 years ago and just grabbed a group of friends and sang/recorded it in under 45 minutes, hence the not super great recording. Hopefully you can listen past the blunders.
I am always on the lookout for some new, beautiful text. So, if you know of any, send it my way. The other two songs on here are some arrangements of LDS Hymns that I have sung for a friend. More recordings and information can be found at http://liahona.net. Happy listening!
You get Happy Birthday wishes here too! Guess this really is your *lucky* day! I hope it is the birthday of your dreams (or at least, I hope you got some good presents!).
I never know where to leave the comments -- myspace, facebook? What's a girl to do? I think I'm venturing up to the Utah Co. this weekend. If you get bored and want to chill give me a ring-a-ling.
