We are accepting submissions for the 9th annual
Stand-up Comedy Contest, in which $10,000 in prize
money will be awarded.
Ninety-six comics will be selected to compete in the
contest preliminaries (September 14th-20th) in various
venues in Boston's Theater District. The finals of the
Contest will be held on September 20th at the Cutler
Majestic Theater where eight of the top emerging
talents will compete in front of talent scouts,
managers and booking agents, as well as comedy fans.
The majority of spots are booked by tape submissions.
To apply for the contest please submit:
- DVD or VHS of a performance, up to 6 minutes long
- Bio/Headshots
- a check or money order for $35 US made out to
"The Boston Comedy Festival"

All entries must be postmarked by June 2nd, 2008.
Entries will not be considered if they are received
later than this date
or do not include the required entry fee. Sorry, no
exceptions.
Entries will not be returned.
No comedian will be accepted for the festival until
after the closing deadline has passed and all entries
have been considered.
