Botchan was formed in April 2003 by vocalist/guitarist Makoto Ideue, winner of the national TeensÅf Music Festival 2000, the first annual Guitar Magazine Grand Prix, and FM 79.5Åfs Music Challenger Month Grand Prix, among others.
