"Symphonic Black Metal Art" -
BOTHILDIR can best be described with the German word Gesamtkunstwerk ; or "universal artwork". In other words the "combining of many arts" such as words, music, philosophy, and thought. The project Began in Early 2004 consisting of, and founded by, Ardroth; the band's sole member. The lyrical themes include Misanthropy, Nature, Philosophy, Politics, Darkness, Fear, and Dehumanization and seek to explore the depths of human emotion. BOTHILDIR is musically influenced by many of the original Black Metal bands of the Early-Mid 90's . Everything in BOTHILDIR is written, composed, performed, recorded, and produced by Ardroth. The album "For What Once Was" is currently out now.
BOTHILDIR consists of 100% completely original material. You will find no covers or fillers of any sort here. All instruments are REAL, and played by me. The instrumentation consists of Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards, Drums, Various Percussion Instruments, and Vocals. There are absolutely no studio alterations, additional amounts of needless fancy effects, triggers, or electronics of any kind in this music. What you will hear, is pure, raw, dark, original material without conforming to the 'trve' stereotype
Unfortunately, this is my only webpage. Since I am not out to make any sort of considerable profit from my art I thus do not have the means to spend the money and time on a true domain page - as much as I would like to. I can only take advantage of these free mainstream media outlets to distribute my art. In a sense using the mainstream to combat it: your enemy is your friend.
BOTHILDIR is NOT influenced by Alcohol or any Drugs/Substances, and supports all Alcohol and Substance free lifestyles.
Darkest Hails to you for remaining a loyal ally of U.S.A. I’m honoured to have you as a strong ally, and thank you from the darkest part of my being. This time there will be no more delays! Hail Satan! Hail Thyself!
Satanic Hails for supporting U.S.A., Satanism, Satan Himself, and all things dark and just plain Evil! Our alliance is growing, one dark soul at a time. Honoured to have you as friend and ally in the veritable war against ignorance, hypocrisy, and stupidity. Hail Satan! Hail Thyself! 666 666 666

just got the cd today, FOR WHAT ONCE WAS is amazing! one of the best black metal cds i have heard in a long time, really looking forward to the HB split!
Looking forward to new material, I'm impressed with the material of the project you are doing the split with. If you need anything, remember my canvas is yours.
Thanks man. I am in Nevada. Living with my parents for the moment but soon me and the wife are going to be getting our own apartment and attending school at UNLV.
"For What Once Was..." is one of my favorite black metal CDs that I own. It is fantastic and it's even more fascinating to know that it's made by one man in MAINE. I am super stoked for the new stuff.
Many thanks, the painting is called 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' and the artist is Hieronymus Bosch, he's excellent. Thanks again for the acceptance and hope to hear more of your work's soon..
HAIL!! Bothildir is still held in high regard by me. It prides me very much to know that I live in the same state as someone who is very gifted in the arts. Do you have any upcoming shows scheduled for this summer?
Hi,
Thanks for adding me. I appreciate it. I thought your songs sounded good, I hope to hear more in the future. It was also nice to read on your profile that you cared more about the quality of your art than making money from it. It is nice to see someone shares my sentiment on this subject.
Take care, and have a good weekend.
Gentian.
I have no idea how I came upon your page, but I read through most of it and I wanted to drop by and articulate my respect! Great to see the renaissance approach to arts still alive! And dont we all hate the 100s of second rate artists who saturate that underground scene with crap.
Your music is pretty good stuff and in my humble opinion, your vocals are excellent. Akin somewhat to Ihsahn (which is good!).
Respectfully yours!
Daniel
P.S.
I'm also one of the rare (but I think virtuous!) human beings who abstains from alcohol and other destroyers of the body.
