About Me:

Welcome to my ego. At 40 years old i don't feel a day over 38. Life's great. Sure it has it's ups and downs but if i were to include them in here i'd loose my audience fast. My birth place is Colombia. Cali to be exact. At the ripe age of seven, i found my new home in East New York, Brooklyn.

Now, at the time (1976AD), East New York had a lot of character including:
drug addicts
convicts
dead beats
muggers
robbers
thugs and the likes.
It was very exciting and exilirating to be in such an environment. I was scared out of my f*cking mind. I would wait up every night hoping my mom would make it home alive. She did.

That was boot camp. My "welcome to new york" door mat.

After a few years there, we moved on to the white suburbs of Bayside, Queens. I remember my first days in school looking around thinking: "wow, i'm like the darkest-skin kid here" - even my sister passes off as white. It was interesting. I had to make sense of it all on my own.

So, bayside brought me a lot of opportunities. Some of which i took with me including my wife, my daughter and my dog. I met my wife in the early nineties, and partied with her to the millenium. It was fun. But i had to leave the place. I had to find a new home. New Rochelle or New Ro as i prefer to call it, was the next stop. In our last days at bayside, right before we moved, we had Izabella. She was my wife plus a thousand more kisses. I look at her and realize i'm superman (metaphorically).

So my superpowers continued. They did. I then had a son named Javier-Dakota or JD or Papote...... Some of my family members call him Charlie Brown - i like that :)
Let's see his identity and what shape it takes as he gets older.

Yeah, it's pretty amazing. I had to cut through brooklyn, up to queens, i95 north to New Roc City to find my home. It's been an amazing journey. I'm just glad i've had my best friend with me most of the way. She is my soul mate. She has allowed me to grow with her to tremendous heights. Sometimes, i get scared of heights and she holds my hand. She lets me know how safe it is up here. Let's me touch the clouds and kiss the stars with her. She's the stuff - the matter of all that i am and have. This is where the journey ends.....and begins.

In case you haven't figured it out by now, you too are part of this journey. I hope you see that this is the beginning for the both of us.
