I play and sing soulful acoustic ballads: folk, jazz, contemporary, and inspirational. I also tell stories that are often but not always musical. I started playing the guitar in my early twenties. I have no idea when I started singing. I played, sang and told musical stories for my immediate family for a couple of decades, and played for my first public audience during my late 40s. After more than half a century of searching through religions, professions, movements and places, I have finally begun to recognize and embrace the profound peace that I find in music. The details of my search are unimportant. As Lao Tsu wrote, "The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao." There’s nothing mysterious about this peace, by the way. You can even find it in the dictionary. Read down to the third or fourth definition of the word peace and you’ll find harmony.
Thanks for the phone-call. I'd love to sing and play on 2/1 at the Frank Bette. If I could fill in for you like you mentioned that other time, that would be cool too. But I'm busy now Mon-Fri during the day however, thank heavens!
