his true calling - the Blues, baby!
Chris "Chief" De Soto – Hammond B-3/ Piano - Such influences as Jimmy Smith, Al Cooper, Greg Allman and the great Lee Michaels have all influenced Chris' style of trying to master the B-3. This has also allowed him to share the stage with such greats as Bill Lordon, Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, Bobby Bluebland, Greg Serrato, Don Haney and a host of others while performing all over the world. Playing the piano as a child prodigy at the age of 7
Chris is celebrating his 45 years of playing professionally. Chris is proud and honored to be performing with longtime friends Joe and Scott.
“Cleanhead” Joe McGaha – vocals - Joe started out singing in a Reggae band
in the late '80's, and since then, has done everything from Classic Rock
to Punk Rock (he had a long stretch in the Inland Empire Punk band Bûkket), and finally, the Blues chose him! When he's
not busy performing with Bourbon Road, Cleanhead writes music reviews for
Live Magazine (in Orange County, California), and Indy Rock (in Granada,
Spain).
Al Bonowitz - drums - Al Bonowitz grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and has been playing drums since high school. He moved to California to escape the winter in 1999 and played in Santa Barbara with groups led by Skye Ferguson and Richard Moore (formerly of The Troggs). His first influences were Keith Moon, John Bonham, Mitch Mitchell, and Ginger Baker, although the older he gets, the more he appreciates groove specialists such as Ringo Starr, Charlie Watts, and Bun E. Carlos.
Matt Sullivan guitar - With a soul that goes way beyond his 21 years, Sullivan plays with the finesse of many guitarists three times his age, bringing amazing guitar licks and charisma to the show.
