Here are the videos from the Last Ever Jam at the Bourne Beat on Wednesday 11th November
First up is Alan, Rob K, Ian, Roger, Greg and David with a song which might be called "Blues around Me" and it's not in 12/8....
Next is Hannah with "So Lonely" - no, not that one, assisted by Kacper, Pedro, Roger, Marcin, and Ed - most of Paint it Blue, in fact....
Following on is Stan with Rory, Helen, Roger, and Dom and a Muddy Waters song called "Champagne and Reefer". (The views expressed in the song do not reflect those of the musicians, the venue, or anyone else, necessarily.)
After that, the sensational, and superbly talented!!!, Smokin' Benny Brown singing "Help Me" joined by Rob K, Steve, Rick, and Dom
Next is Alan with his "High Heeled Sneakers" accompanied by Rory, Pedro, Roger, Marcin and David.
Moving along to Hannah, Pedro, Roger, Roger, Dom and David with Stop Messin' Around"
Ben, Ian, Roger, Rick, and Ed eventually decide on "How Blue"
And last but not least, by a long chalk, is Stan giving it "One More Shot", with Dan, Helen, Greg and Lee.
......and that's it for the Bourne Beat Blues Jam. We've had a lot of fun and met some great people. Long may it continue at Champions Blues Jam!
The 11th and last Bourne Beat Blues Jam took place on Wednesday 11th November with about 50 blues fans in total, comprising 23 jammers and about the same number of listeners.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported our jam at The Bourne Beat and look forward to seeing you all at Champions.
- check dates on the Champions Blues Jam Mypace page
There will be two jams a month at Champions, on the 2nd and Last Mondays of every month.... bring your friends!
Drums, guitar and bass amps, keyboard, PA, all provided - just bring your instrument. Put your name on the list and you will be called up to be part of a band for two songs. Then it's all change for the next line-up. The number of times you get called up will depend on the number of musicians with your instrument at the jam.
A token charge of £1 will be made for attendees, jammers and audience alike, to offset some of the costs...
The Bourne Beat Hotel is located at 12, Priory Road, Bournemouth, BH2 5DG. This is just up the hill from the BIC.
