Good Times
One of the unsung heroes of the Civil Rights movement in America during the 1960's, Anne Moody is a true warrior, in that she grew up poor and African-American in the rural south, but this did not hinder her abilities to excel in school, while doing afterschool activities and helping to financially support herself and her family. as she grew older, she questioned the ideas that whites had more authority than blacks, why her people were afraid of them and letting themselves be run out of town and/or burned to death? when she became an activist, she faced death everyday of her life, and this did not stop her from doing what she believed to be the right thing to do, which was to seek justice. A feminist in her own right. Bless her soul! :)

About me: my favorite clubs are delirium in the mission and beat it in west hollywood. my fave venues are the fillmore in sf, the ruby on hollywood blvd, and the echo in silverlake. i've seen many of the original punk bands, including: the slits, the weirdos, x, the dickies, the dead kennedys, fear, the stooges, the pretenders, the sex pistols, blondie, the damned, the stranglers, subway sect, the cramps, the buzzcocks, siouxsie and the banshees.... interesting facts: i gave a speech on bob dole's foreign policy for the 1996 presidential election. i danced at rodney bingenheimer's infamous english disco when i was thirteen (i think it's still around). i played the flute for four years. i try to practice on my electric or acoustic guitar when i have time. i am related to king james iv of england and scotland (no joke!), and i've been to europe three times. saw shaquille o'neal and hollered at him. billy idol at the roxy was fun too. johnny rotten told me to fuck off. i got to play with troy donahue! i was beersoaked for the first time by a drunken older gentleman at a fall concert one summer. i lost my shoes and got catapulted into the air when i saw flogging molly. i've been in love, believe it or not! :) i've volunteered for the red cross. i've been to the mauthausen concentration camp, right outside of salzburg, austria. i was kissed by dee dee ramone, (r.i.p.) the bass player in the ramones. he died a few weeks later of a heroin overdose. my dad took me on hikes in the local mountains when i was younger, and he used to give me sips of guinness when we got to the top. went to central california every weekend to play with the country boys....used to hang out in this house in the valley where one of the "friday the 13th" movies was made....i met lou reed at ucla. first road trip was to san francisco. almost got arrested in prague in the summer of 2005. the first movie i ever shot was of vic godard and the subway sect. pretty awesome stuff....check out my videos, they are tops.
