Boweza was born July 17th 2006 when an icecocoon
rehearsal was aborted and two human beings, namely Owen
Gillett and Daniel "Bowza" Webb collaborated in a new
and non-compromising form of sonic expression.
So far there have only been 2 Boweza sessions but we
have turned out close to half an hour of material. We
do not go in with any expectation or limitations, the
music is written and recorded simultaneously in a
constant stream of consciousness, feelings and
emotions.
We are not a live band. At this stage we are a private,
recording-only project. Who knows what the future
holds. When a sufficient quantity of music is banked
up, There will be an album put out through Owenian
Records. There are no time frames or constraints so it
will happen when the time is right.
"Basically, although I have no limitations in
icecocoon, Boweza is a very very pure way of expressing
the same things. It just caters more to the undiluted,
chaotic parts of my personality." - Owen
"Its a collective, creative goldmine and sheer terror
to pretentious muso fucks. Wats not to love?" - Bowza

Awesome, Love this stuff! Some of the soundscape stuff I was going to start recording is going to sound like a total rip off! Oh well. Keep it coming, don't be afraid to make them too long. I want to get immersed. Charger

Fantastic sounds here! Especially liked "Both at the same time". I can't point my finger on it, but for some reason it reminds me of Coil. It's so cool to see this kind of music coming out of Adelaide!
Check out our new track 'Quarantine' taken from our forthcoming album 'Aeon Somnia'.
Your thought's are much appreciated.
