From the sci-fi, rock androgyny of Ziggy Stardust to the slick, suave sophistication of a rock aristocrat, Bowie continues to push the boundaries and excite and amaze audiences around the world.
The Bowie Contingent, with their electrifying tribute show, follow Bowie's lead. The hits are all there, often in original, unlikely arrangements. Album tracks, rarely played live by Bowie himself, also ensure that The Bowie Contingent stand out as a tribute act with a difference and are not just another Stars In Their Eyes type act. They just focus on playing some of the most important, innovative music of the last 50 years. .
David Bowie - chameleon, comedian, corinthian and caricature..
The band split on 8th January 2007 after performing at the third annual BOWIEFEST event, held to coincide with Bowie's 60th Birthday. They returned briefly for a seemingly one-off performance, with an invigorated line-up, at the fourth BOWIFEST earlier this year and it seemed that would be the last fans would hear from the band…
On Thursday 18th December 2008, however, the The Bowie Contingent return to the stage one more time with their most ambitious live show yet. With an 11-piece band and a fully choreographed show, they promise an evening of fantastic live entertainment that will not easily be forgotten!
