The band split in Jan '07 after performing at the third annual BOWIEFEST event, held to coincide with Bowie's 60th Birthday...
They returned briefly for a one-off performance, with an invigorated line-up, at the fourth BOWIFEST, in Sheffield in January '08...
BOWIEFEST, THE PREMIER BOWIE THEMED EVENT WILL RETURN.....whether The Bowie Contingent will be there too is not yet known...

¥ this saturday 7 7 7 Tarana are recording their 77th album live @ The Cremorne on London Rd in Sheffield. there will be two sets each with 7 players and the night will be compered by the legendary and also very funny Pete Fuck who may bring a poundand bag full of things noone else could make into comedy items. the soundman for the evening is Nort who i remember from many great music nights on Garden Street.
the night kicks off at 7.57pm and its a late bar come n listen to the most live and direct pure improvisation of tarana ¥
