WE ARE ALL FRIENDS, we are in a band and we make ace/brilliant/excellent music ...together by ourselves in a dark room....were no one goes apart from us.............it costs 10 pounds for 4 hours and we are together in there(no-on else is there).........together and fun in a room...........by ourselves, no-body else.....the room is in manchester, when we are in the room we play a mash up mixture of cat- chi melodies and wordly rhythms and we dance while we are in that room ....
What people have had to say about us:
"Electro reggae pop -CSS stylee electropop mixed with the winsome quality of Feist in the female vocal. Subtle acoustic stripped down reggae/soul, he sounds like a grittier Finlay Quaye with sou... Read Morelful harmonies. Box Kid keep it skipping about all over the place. highly skilled genre weaving songwriters." Bugbear Promotions (London)
"Like zero 7 remixed by dangermouse, a true treat for the ears..." Mostly Toast (Manchester)
"A relatively new act, Box Kid even have a song called “80’s Day” and it couldn’t be any closer to the truth tonight. But this time, this band light their candles to place on the altar of Prefab Sprout and to a lesser degree pray to Deacon Blue. “We Are The Tides” is a master class in spinning out gasp inducing, skiffling greatness from just a bass, drums and piano. Singer ‘K’ is on acoustic guitar but it cleverly plays a subdued role. This song, even with such a sparse accompaniment to call upon, bravely keeps the music to an essential minimum whilst the vocals do all the work. Essentially the songs are all there, with a potential to exploit moody 80’s pop, folky musings or straight up 4/4 dancefloor punches. Box Kid are one of the cleverest and most together things I’ve seen maybe this year. Big things, big things indeed should beckon..." Manchester Music

Thanks for a top set at the Moon last Friday. Got a couple of nice pics in our tagged photos folder you should check out. Hope to see you guys again sometime.
Ha, nothing sexy about it, just we try and get 2 decent bands on every now and again to raise a bit of money for local football, we normally get around 80 coming who are interested in new music. Let me know if you fancy it. Cheers.
