About me:
It was a rainy Brooklyn morning when Carolyn & Paul Lucey gave birth to their second son. Eight pound, ten ounces caped with a bright red mane and a perpetual smile. It was a joyous day, but unfortunately they still hadn't decided on a first name and wouldn't for eight more days. To all then, he was know only as that beautiful boy Lucey.
Yes it is my last name, but still my first in this life and what most people call me to date.. When you grow up a red haired boy in Brooklyn with the name Lucey. That which does not kill us only makes us stronger.
I am a passionate soul. I hear all of the colors of music. I paint verses and rhymes to canvas and I sing to the poetry of life. I live for making all the little moments of life extraordinary and profoundly touching as many soul as I can. Some call me a Renaissance man, some call me mentor and many call me friend. Then one day a five-year-old child referred to me as a rainbow man. I liked that most of all. Life is much more poetic than fiction. I love to laugh and sing out loud and I live for knowledge, personal evolution and emotional growth. A good Bourbon never hurts either.

Since the distruction of over a decades worth of photography years ago I have refrained from any portrature work (see blog 1/29/07 "a photo defining oneself " for more details). I had shot a beautiful series of a friend of mine literally a week before she gave birth. I morned the lose of those pictures. Recently though, I have decided to reverse my portrait moritorium dicision. I am even in the process of putting together a book proposal. Hopefully there will also be a book or two based in past works as well.
