Influences	influences are varied. Interpol meets Sigur Ros on a low-lying November day and calls on Bright Eyes and Elliot Smith. Walking to the Sunday market, they fall into reverent line behind Joni and Jeff, Thom and Cat, and many more.

strange tongues wear down all that seems impossible; all I thought I knew, that ties me to my earth: this country

boypatient
is romantically attached to memories of childhood. We mark our territory among the swings and slides and spring-mounted horses of home. We cut our music from this patchwork place of memory and guilt, and we’ve been busily trimming and hemming what we found in the prolonged and sometimes painful hope that it will fit.

like weathered performers, we’ve donned our jackets and our hats; this may be our baby but it’s beginning to swing to its own tune and we’re happy to play along.

making our mark
the last 18 months have been a waltz and a blitz. Club nights in London; live BBC radio sessions; sold out shows in Brighton; support slots with mercury nominated Maps; growing recognition among people who value a different sound. Both national and European gigs are planned for the coming months.

marching on
we’ve tamed our youthful egos and muscled up. We tie emotionally wired lyrics to supple rhythms and inventive composition. Alas, we don’t serve up 3 minute saccharine pop; instead we bury the hooks deeper in the eiderdown and invite our audiences to bed in with us.
